To assist in spatial planning for positive growth, EDAW is in the vanguard of developing new tools that deliver well-served communities. Time and again we see successful schemes grow from an understanding of the locality integrating local knowledge and community participation. Among our tried and tested tools is the Social Infrastructure Framework (SIF) which is based on the concept of joined-up delivery and addresses the broad, quality-of-life needs of communities.
It forms an integral part of the new spatial planning system and is key to creating socially, economically and environmentally sustainable communities.
